Giving $750K to Charitable Organizations
Since our inception in 2010, we have dedicated considerable time and resources to giving back to the community with a hands-on approach to charitable activities. Since 2013, the Firm has raised over $750,000 for charity. In 2016, we established the Lucosky Brookman Foundation, a private foundation with an annual budget through which we provide donations to qualified organizations on behalf of the Firm. The Foundation was created to take over the management and coordination of the law firm's ever-increasing charitable contributions and activities.
Our Mission
The Lucosky Brookman Foundation's primary goal is to use the power of philanthropy to impact the lives of those less fortunate with a particular focus on children’s causes. The Foundation hopes to educate individuals and bring awareness to various sponsored initiatives that make a profound difference on other individual's lives now and far into the future.
The Firm maintains strong relationships with our “flagship” charities which have often involved large-scale events in which everyone in the office, including family and friends, can participate. To that end, the Firm has previously hosted two charity golf outings at Trump National Golf Course, two charity Casino Nights at the prestigious Capitale in Soho, NY, and a Charity Night.
It is very important that Lucosky Brookman, through its charitable giving, demonstrate that the Firm's core values and culture are about more than providing excellent service to its clients and more than just words on a page. We are committed to being an active participant in making a difference in the lives of others through action.
Save a Child’s Heart
Save A Child's Heart is one of the largest charitable undertakings in the world, providing urgently needed pediatric heart surgery and follow-up care for indigent children from developing countries. Based in Israel, SACH's mission is to improve the quality of pediatric cardiac care for children from countries where the heart surgery they need is unobtainable.
The Firm has raised over $750,000 since 2013 to benefit the Save A Child’s Heart Foundation. The Firm's Managing Partner, Joseph Lucosky, sits on the Board of Directors of SACH and Lawrence Metelitsa, a Partner at the Firm, sits on the SACH’s regional NY Board of Directors.
Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital
The Firm is a committed sponsor of the Far Hills Race Meeting in Far Hills, New Jersey. The Far Hills Race Meeting, also known as “The Hunt”, is a charity horse race that benefits the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital. The event, which draws more than 35,000 spectators each year, has raised more than $18,000,000 since 1950.
Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital is an acute care hospital in Somerset, New Jersey, providing comprehensive health care services. The hospital’s Steeplechase Cancer Center is designated as a Comprehensive Community Cancer Center by the American College of Surgeons – a distinction achieved by only one in four hospitals nationwide that treats cancer patients.
Make A Wish Foundation
The Firm is an avid supporter of the Make A Wish Foundation. As part of Lucosky Brookman's continuing commitment to children's charitable causes, since 2013 the Firm has donated over $50,000 to the Make A Wish Foundation. Lucosky Brookman partners have joined friends, clients and colleagues each year at the Make A Wish Annual black-tie charity fundraiser, held in Miami, Florida.
The Make A Wish Foundation grants wishes to children with life-threatening medical conditions. According to the Make A Wish Foundation, the granting of wishes makes children feel stronger, more courageous, and more determined to overcome their illnesses. Many families and healthcare providers believe the wish experience is the turning-point in a child's battle against their illness. Lucosky Brookman is proud to be an ongoing sponsor of the Make A Wish Foundation.
