Marty is a Partner at Lucosky Brookman LLP and is a member of the Insurance Coverage and Defense group. Based in Houston, Texas, Marty specializes in insurance litigation. He specializes in first-party property insurance coverage, bad faith claims, and catastrophe litigation, handling both commercial and residential cases involving hurricane, wind, and hail losses. His expertise extends to managing litigation under various policies, such as builder’s risk, boiler and machinery, commercial general liability, commercial and individual automobile, and coverage for rarities and collectibles.

Marty has adeptly handled complex loss scenarios for insurance clients, including business interruption and delay claims. His proficiency covers claims involving limitations or exclusions related to “other insurance,” pollution, products-completed operations, preexisting conditions, temperature and humidity, faulty workmanship, professional liability, and latent defects.

In addition to his insurance litigation expertise, Marty has provided litigation services in general litigation, product liability, personal injury, wrongful death, and corporate and commercial law matters. He has also been retained as an expert witness on attorneys' fees, claim handling, and coverage issues in numerous cases in Texas state courts and the federal district courts in Texas, which includes written reports, deposition testimony, and consulting. Additionally, Marty has been retained as an appraiser or arbitrator in multiple large commercial property insurance disputes.

Marty holds a J.D. from Baylor University School of Law with a concentration in Civil Litigation, as well as an M.A. and B.A. in Communication Studies from Baylor University and the University of Utah, respectively
