Evan Gotlob represents clients who are facing government investigations and enforcement actions involving white collar crimes. Drawing on his prior experience as an Assistant U.S. Attorney who handled public corruption and white collar investigations, Evan provides guidance on how to interact effectively with federal law enforcement and regulatory agencies when their transactions are under review, or they are negatively affected by the business practices of others. His experience is applicable to cases involving the U.S. Department of Justice, the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and state Attorney General Offices. His understanding on financial crimes is also informed by his knowledge from earning an M.B.A. in Finance as well as his prior role as a strategic business analyst and credit derivatives specialist in the finance industry.

Should an enforcement action lead to criminal or civil charges, Evan is a season trial lawyer who is well equipped to develop strategies that based on his insight on how prosecutors approach these types of cases. In addition to his white collar work as a federal prosecutor, Evan started his legal career as an Assistant District Attorney who handled more than 70 felony cases, including robbery and drug cases, as well as 200 misdemeanor cases. Evan also represents clients when they are facing governmental and internal corporate investigation, especially those involving tax, securities, mortgage, and financial fraud issues.

When clients face external government investigations and internal corporate investigations, he offers strategic advice on whether they should cooperate and how to best move forward. He is also well equipped to conduct internal investigations on behalf of clients to help provide them with insight on compliance issues that may make them vulnerable to government scrutiny.
